Founded in 1982, this architectural gem and mystical masterpiece houses a number of extraordinary exhibitions. The museum provides an exceptional waterfront setting, overlooking the beautiful Tampa Bay. Part industrial-grade concrete, part glass bubble, the building itself is a sight to behold. The geode-like glass structure that protrudes out of the museum’s thick walls is known as the Enigma. It pays homage to the dome in Salvador Dalí’s museum in Spain. Outside the museum is the Mathematical Avant-Garden which includes tropical flowers and trees, a Fountain of Youth, and a labyrinth that mimics the design of the one found at Chartres Cathedral.

Currently on display inside the 60,000-square-foot museum (from now until January 3, 2021) is the new Diego & Frida: A Visual History exhibit, featuring over 60 rare photographs of the tumultuous 25-year relationship between Mexican artists Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.

Running until November 1, 2020, Dalí’s Sacred Science – Religion and Mysticism presents mixed-media objects from later in the artist’s career, when he went on to explore science, religion, mythology, alchemy, and mysticism.
